The wonderful time with our puppies always goes by so quickly. Yesterday we were longingly stroking our Djuni's puppy belly and looking forward to the birth of our 7 little miracles and today we had to say goodbye to them again. 10 wonderful weeks are now over. We were allowed to follow their first steps, see how they grew and developed into small, self-confident dogs. With a lot of love and time we try to prepare them for the life to come.
Fina and Flame have moved into a musher family. Both were eagerly awaited there. Until the day of moving in on 08.05. major conversion and extension work was required on the kennel. Gina and her dad spent the first few nights in a thick sleeping bag, snuggled up to Fina and Flame in the kennel. These pictures speak for themselves. They were loving and very touching.
Our Fanny is on 13.05. moved into an equally loving family. Here, too, numerous conversion measures were carried out on the property for the 1st Husky. This family is also very friendly, calm and well-balanced among themselves. Even before moving in, Fanny had won all the hearts of the family. She has many playmates in this family, children and Sally, a well behaved mixed breed dog.
On May 15th, Famous should move into his new home. In the presence of the new owner, Famous was then killed by a bee on??? pricked the muzzle. We immediately went to a veterinarian, who first administered prednisolone to treat the massive and painful swelling. We have moved to 16.05. postponed to mother our little protégé a little longer. Famous moves into a musher kennel, where he will strengthen the distance team.
Our little Filou will join us on June 20th. leaving. He will go to Italy and make the trail unsafe there, also strengthening a long-distance team.
What we noticed with both the E and the F litter, many of the puppies have a very great "need for communication", they grumble and growl. This is new to us and very interesting. You always get the feeling they are "talking to" you.
It is nice to see with how much joy and love the puppies are expected. We are happy that we can fulfill this great heart's desire. To see the structural effort involved in moving in again shows the enormous anticipation of the offspring. We are happy to leave our little protégés in such hands. We have a good feeling here. Nevertheless, we always suffer greatly from the pain of separation. We will all visit our 5 little "organ pipes" in their new homes. We're looking forward to that again.
We wish everyone a lot of fun and joy as the little bundles of energy grow up.
Fina and Flame go to their new home at the weekend. We have admired this loving musher family for a long time. They are always watching our neighbor's sheep. ;O)))
Once again we have met loving mushers and "not yet" mushers through our hobby.
Our Fanny goes into a "not yet experienced husky" family. Before moving in, the entire property was made escape-proof with a double rod mat fence. Fanny gets a spirited dog friend Sally and lots and lots of loving hands to cuddle and love.
How quickly time flies. The farewell is getting closer. We are happy that we found loving hands for our 7 little bundles of joy. Once again we were able to meet new Husky lovers.
Our 7 little bundles of energy, cheerful and tireless. They romp with the grown-ups in the run and during the day Dandy, the foster father, is in the puppy kennel. They grow up with a lot of love and devotion. During this time we prepare you for life as a sled dog and pack member. It is always wonderful to accompany these little earthlings as they grow up.
On Friday you will receive your 1st vaccination and your microchip.
They are enjoying their freedom more and more and continue to enjoy their mother's milk.
Now they could already contact the other pack members. As you might expect, they tend to lie on their backs.
Since Djuna lets her puppies eat their food again, we brought in Dandy to feed them. Because Dandy won't let anything be taken away from her, no matter how cute they are and look. :O))
Our 7 precocial animals enjoy day and night in the outside kennel and of course in the run. While the puppies were quickly exhausted at the beginning of the week, their batteries now last much longer. They run, jump and play intensely with each other. Furthermore, we have now also brought in the first pack members. Evolet, Throne and Dandy - as a foster father, could already play with the little ones.
As soon as they notice us, our funny 7 of course want to come out, which they then announce loudly. You are now curiously exploring more and more of your outside world. Every day they collect new impressions and are now slowly making contact with the other pack members. Furthermore, they now sleep with Djuna in the kennel, outside on the straw. Our Djuna had to leave the beloved couch.
The fearless 7 once again give us a lot of joy in growing up. They are curious and courageous and explore their environment a little bit more every day. They love the cuddle units. As soon as Jessi enters the whelping box, she acts like a magnet on the puppies. A short time later all the puppies are in their vicinity.
Now they are slowly becoming little dogs. They play, growl and scratch their ears - like the big ones. It's always nice to accompany the little creatures on their first journey. As always, our daughter is part of the inventory of the whelping box. As soon as she is there the 1, 2, 3 ... puppy comes and what can I say, all 7 puppies join her in her arms by themselves. As always, we will also be giving away very spoiled and cuddly puppies this time.
Today the puppies received their first food. The little ones ate away merrily.
Our Djuna has now moved outside with her puppies from our living room to the whelping room. We transported the puppies in the green basket. This was then besieged by Djuna. Well, in the 2nd week of life things are slowly getting busier in the nursery of the lucky 7.
The puppies have now opened their eyes and now see their mother and the other siblings. Gradually they also begin to play small games or are now specifically looking for their mother. All puppies are developing very well. Djuna is surprised with new treats every day and is given 4-5x food to provide her puppies with enough milk. As you can see, she does it really, really well. Everyone gains weight every day.
Our funny 7 is already 1 week old again. The puppies have now almost doubled their birth weight. The milk bar is getting a little cramped for the little morsels, so some "dive into the depths" and devote themselves to the hidden milk bar.
The noses are slowly turning black. The small claws also turn black. I hope it's not dirt that Djuni keeps bringing into the whelping box. The heads are still a little too heavy. In the coming week they will open their eyes and then they will be able to perceive their surroundings for the first time.
This time the birth wasn't quite as spectacular. Nevertheless, all dogs were born again in the car. Djuna seems to love this birthplace.... always moving and warm.

birth report
This time the birth wasn't quite as spectacular. Nevertheless, all dogs were born again in the car. Djuna seems to love this birthplace.... always moving and warm. On December 24th, 2020, our Christ children were conceived "under the Christmas tree" and exactly 62 days later, on February 24th, 2021, the contractions began. Since we were sensitized by the last birth, we waited patiently and then impatiently for the further course of the birth. Unfortunately, the contractions didn't get any stronger. There was no change until morning. The contractions just didn't come.
At 7:30 a.m. the decision was made. We equipped the trunk of the car as a place of birth again and drove towards the veterinary clinic, to Wittenberg. Even in the car, the contractions got stronger. After about 15km the bubble burst. A stone fell from my heart. That was a good sign. So things went slowly and the birth of the first puppy should now take place within the next 2 hours. My husband continued towards the veterinary clinic at a "slowly slow" pace - just as a "hat driver", as he now called himself. The only thing that mattered to me was that the car kept moving. In Wittenberg (on the country road) the first puppy, Floki, was born. We looked for a parking space in Wittenberg, where the second puppy, little Fina, was born. We no longer needed to go to the vet clinic. Since my husband had an important appointment in Dessau, we continued straight to Dessau “with the rolling birthplace”. Then 2 more puppies were born in Dessau, Flöckchen and Fanny. Only the 5th puppy, Freya, was born in Gehrden, on our doorstep. The car heated up due to the high outside temperatures and slowly became a bit cramped, so that we moved Djuna and her 5 puppies to the whelping box. Although the contractions continued in the whelping box, no other puppies were born, so we went to the vet after all. The X-ray showed 2 more puppies. After Djuna was given the labor stimulant, we drove back home. Filou and Flame were born within 3 minutes on the country road. So, now we - the little dog family - were complete. Now that the family was united in the whelping box, we were able to toast the birth of our 7 adorable spotted puppies and move on to naming them.
I'm just wondering why the whelping box is called WURFBOX. Puppies have never been born in this box.
Once again our Djuna enjoys the full attention. But this year we made ourselves comfortable in the living room. A little luxury.
Nature has chosen a very special day for the wedding - Christmas Eve.
Djuna immediately felt at home again with Wim and Marjan.
Dear Wim and dear Marjan, thank you very much for making this possible for us at this holy time, on the holy day.
