On March 10th and 11th, 2018 (race in Apenburg) the temperatures were around 20 degrees plus - so we had snow again the next weekend! Hmm, this is where these great shots could still be taken.
10.-11.03.2018 - Apenburg
On the 10th and 11th March 18 was the last race of the season. At the same time it was also the final race and the 1st race, which was equipped in Apenburg. Unfortunately, our daughter couldn't take part in the race, so my husband and our daughter's two boys (Cayden and Dandy) had a great addition to the team. He started in class A1 with 8 huskies. .........
24.-25.02.2018 - Soaps
Finally snow and finally we could inaugurate our new Danler sledge.
At home we already went looking for the wax set. Even with the great allocation that exists in my husband's stable, we were unfortunately not able to locate this set. It was last needed in Clausthal-Zellerfeld in 2015. .....
February 17-18, 2018 - Woerlitz
Actually, we had registered for the snow race in Hammerbrücke. Unfortunately, this race was canceled due to a lack of snow, so we drove to Wörlitz without further ado. Due to the rain, the meadows in Wörlitz were not passable, so the route had to be changed. For the most part, solid paths were now used as a trail. Some of our dogs don't like this ground at all, so we've taken precautions beforehand. ....
27.-28.01.2018 - Benneckenstein
The weather is really not kind to us this year. A week earlier Benneckenstein was still covered by a dense blanket of snow, but by the time of the race it had "of course" all melted away. As at home, there was rain and mud again. The weather only consists of rain and mud anyway...

Training camp - St. Ulrich am Pillersee
At last it was time. It was supposed to start on January 5th, 2018. However, since the weather in Austria did not cooperate and it rained constantly, we had to postpone our actual departure date. The organizers had to rebuild the pitch, which consisted of a 50cm layer of pressed snow and continuous waterfalls. The colleagues there have also succeeded in doing this. I was and still am impressed with the whole team there. ....

Trainingstreffen Sandersdorf-Brehna
Knut invited us to the training meeting in Sandersdorf-Brehna - Goitzsche this weekend. We gladly accepted the invitation. It was a small, cozy group with very pleasant mushers, some of whom we saw for the first time. ......
2.-03.12.2017 - Spargelhof Klaistow
A race was held in Klaistow for the first time. For us it was the 2nd race. Unfortunately, my daughter and I were not able to attend, which we very much regret.
It was a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. The supply, the organization, even the power supply was 100% available - without failure!! I think it was also the first race without a power failure. ....

Finally, for us the 1st race - this season. We were all excited and had been looking forward to the race for a long time. Our daughter has been in active WhatsApp contact with her dad since 4:30 a.m. After breakfast we finally started. The car....
